FAQ
What Velden is, who it is for, and what you see before anything goes live.
What is Velden?
AI engineering for product teams. You give it work in Slack. It shows what it understood, then works on your existing code. You review a change — not a chat log.
Who is it for?
Both sides of a product team. Whoever owns the product asks; the engineers who own the code set the limits and review what comes back. Engineering leads usually bring Velden in.
What work is it good at?
Bounded feature work, product fixes, UI with moderate backend impact, reviewable backlog. Not a greenfield app builder.
What should you not delegate yet?
Major migrations, security redesigns, deep infra, broad rewrites, and highly ambiguous multi-quarter work.
What do you see?
Understanding first: the ask restated, scope, what will not change, risk and confidence. Then a change you can inspect. Going live stays a human decision.
How is this not a coding tool in Slack?
Coding tools help someone operate a model. Slack is where you ask. Velden owns the process: interpret, bound, execute, evidence, decide.
How do I start?
Apply for a pilot. We work with a few teams at a time, on their own repo and Slack, and set it up with you.
